CHRISTIAN PRIVILEDGE AND DUTY
.

The Christian life is one of unmerited favor, filled with privilege and promise. And yet by its very definition it is a profession that finds meaning in a consecrated life that lives for higher ideals striving for the perfect manifestation of God’s character. The ultimate joy for the Christian is doing God’s will. The ultimate desire for the Christian is discerning God’s will.

As we go about with the challenges of daily existence safe in the promise of the words found in Jeremiah 29:11, “ For I know the thoughts I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not evil, to give you an expected end”, it is incumbent upon us to fulfill the duty of being true children of God. To live holy lives as it is written, “… I am the LORD your GOD: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy” and to heed Paul’s words to the church at Philippi “… work out your salvation with fear and trembling.”

During the month of June, join us in our conversation on Christian privilege and duty as we seek the Lord in prayer every Wednesday evening.
